Title: Amperite 6-4 --- What is this ?
Post by: kagliostro on June 15, 2012, 05:32:57 am
The box is labeled Amperite 6-4 Resistor Current Regulating

it has an octal base but clearly isn't a tube (on my tube tester only as to make photo)

which was the use for this "lamp" ?

I would like to see schematics that use it as to give me an idea about it

Thanks

K

Ach so !

So the regulation is due to the fact that the filament has a positive temperature coefficient of resistance
