if you like to hack circuits like i do and if you don't have or want to use a variac & PT combination, then the part in the link below may be just the ticket to help you with your insatiable quest for tone nirvana.

it's a 400mA capable PT so, you'll still need to tweak the actual V & I values for your application. this PT just helps things along by allowing you to proof your circuits before committing to a specific part.

you'll still need a filament transformer.

offered with only a single 100/120/230/240V primary your choice. should work for experiments with amps with up to about 100W (push-Pull) give-or-take.
