Title: Fender amp flat "badges".
Post by: markvalluzzi on July 01, 2012, 02:26:43 pm
I am searching for two Fender "flat badges" or logos. Someone recently asked me if the ones I was looking for had brown or black insets. The amp in need of these badges is a 1963 Fender Showman. Can any one shed any light on this suject ?

I am looking to buy 2 flat Fender amp badges or logos.  I realize these are expensive when the show up for sale.  No worries. I NEED them. Even the ones Fender used on their Vibroking amps would be acceptable. Does anyone have two of these ? Anybody know where I might find these ?

Fender keeps a tight hold on those badges, to fend off forgeries.

You can either pay the big bucks for a vintage original, or you can contact Fender (or Fender authorized dealer) to obtain new ones. Fender will likely want the serial # info for the amp they will go on, to prove that the badges are intended for an authentic amp.

Is your amp a black face of a brown face?

I don't know if any of the black face amps had flat name badges, I thought they were raised.  :dontknow:

A blonde '63 should be fitted with a black flat logo.

I would be happy to provide Fender with the serial number.  Too bad I can't get through to Fender myself

More of different varieties. The kind you want will show up again, I'm sure.

For bidding, decide how much you're possibly willing to pay, and bid that. If it goes for less you still win. And you don't get caught up in auction fever.  :icon_biggrin:

you could buy the amp for 49 take off the logo and re-sell the amp..  :l2: ...it's a flat metal logo with the screw location a little different.....that's the only difference as far as I can tell ...I put mine on a supro thunderbolt and people like my fender amp ....so it will pass ....again these amps are usually cheap or free

here's another ....still better than $90 and no amp to resell
