I have seen a thin plate that slides over the tube pins to replace a broken guide pins. I cannot seem to locate them. i found the thick ones on Ebay, but none of the thin. You can actually put a little glue on them and repair the tube. Anybody know who sells these things?

I heard http://www.tubesandmore.com/ (http://www.tubesandmore.com/) has them.

And don't glue them, so that you can reuse it with other tubes.
The holes are small enough to provide a fairly snug fit with the tube.

Since I have a lot of old tubes, I keep some of those around. They do hold the tube out of the socket a bit, but seem to do the job.

I have a few of those little devices but the most important thing to do is mark the tube base as to where the key should be. I use a silver Sharpie.

Thanks, on the way.
