Title: EH Strings that Doug sells
Post by: John on July 15, 2012, 05:11:00 pm
With my last order I got a couple sets of the .10s. Didn't ask for the discount because $3.75 is already dirt cheap, as a guy in retail I'm funny that way.  :icon_biggrin: Anyway, put them on a buddies Washburn that he doesn't play. Before, the guitar made sound but had no life, no tone... just wasn't fun to play. Granted, I'm sure the strings on there were worn out but it was as uninspiring as it could be.

Anyway, put the strings on and holee molee, what a difference! It's got a nice spanky sound in the #2 position (towards neck) and just sounds so lively in any position, really. Went from that to my LP and suddenly that doesn't sound so sweet.  I think I'll put the other set on that one for yucks even though those strings are still pretty new.

I sure hope the strings last a long time because I'm not looking forward to re-stringing that Washburn. It's got the Floyd Rose locking trem, and good grief what  a PITA that is.
