I haven't posted in a while; I've been playing the amps I build rather than building the amps I play. :icon_biggrin: I'm working on two separate projects at the moment but last week during a break from one of them I did a short version of an old Sam Cooke tune that I thought turned out not too bad, so here it is. I used a Warmoth Telecaster with Dimarzio Fast Track 2s on it through my 18 Watt Lite II with an extra gain stage (translation - it's quite a bit like Doug's "Stout").
At the very least, it gets the award for "Version least like the original", LOL.

That, sir, is beautiful. As is your test with the new acoustic guitar. I love how you slur and morph one note into the next, it almost sounds like it's done with a whammy. Very tasteful playing and tone :worthy1:

Very, very nice! Are you SURE that's a Tele?

Thanks for taking the time to comment - so often you post these things and it's like shouting into the wind. I appreciate the feedback.
Yes, it's not a Strat, LOL. For some reason, I've been on a Tele streak lately, at least with this particular Tele. I made it from Warmoth parts 18 years ago and it is just one of those great guitars that you only get a couple of in your life. I have a Strat that I feel the same way about (it's a MIM Strat Special, of all things) but for one reason or another, lately I've been playing this Tele the most. It just has this sound on the rhythm pickup that I love...I'm sure I'll get back to the Strat and the whammy bar pretty soon.
Glad somebody liked it. I always like to hear that. Thanks.
