Title: Dark End Of The Street
Post by: Tyrannocaster on September 19, 2012, 06:08:22 pm
I'm in the middle of a big project that seems like it's never going to get done because there's always something that's held up, so this week I slipped in another quickie recording on the side while I wait for vocals on the Big One to get done. I did this instrumental version of one of my favorite old R&B tunes with my Warmoth Telecaster (Dimarzio Fast Track 2s, mostly using the rhythm pup on this song), a Jaguar for chink-chinks, and an SX Paul Jr for the slide chords (they kind of melt into the organ part because of the Leslie I put on them, oh well).

Once again, I used my 18 Watt Lite II with the extra gain stage (really, this is Doug's Stout - I just didn't know it when I built it, LOL) as it has become one of my two favorite amps.

Hope somebody enjoys it. I love this song.

Hope somebody enjoys it.

I do.   :icon_biggrin:

Slides great, even smoother than the leads tone.   :icon_biggrin:

$0.02, it's a sad song so... try playing it slower. You have the skill and the amp/guitar to get the sustain to make it still sing at a slower tempo.
