Title: second amp: no sound when touching OT
Post by: Colas LeGrippa on October 04, 2012, 05:11:28 pm
Hi,

Second time I face this problem ( if it is one ): when touching an amp OT ( laminations not the bells ), the sound cut. My other hand is touching nothing else, my feet either ( but my soles hey hey  :icon_biggrin: ). As soon as I removed my hand, it gets back to normal. Otherwise the amp sounds ok. It happened to me a couple months ago with a SE amplifier. This one is a PP. Any idea ?

You have a ground/connection problem somewhere, I think. Like check the output jacks and the
primary (e.g. ground through the B+).

I too have seen this, it almost always ends up being a missed ground or the secondary is not
grounded... or its Halloween time and its possessed.
