Title: Send Receive schematic
Post by: Lizard King on November 06, 2012, 07:58:35 am
It looks like I'll be having a spare 12AX tube in my bassman rebuild.  Does anyone have a schematic for a tube buffered send/return loop?

Thanks.

Tubenit and others had some great ideas in this thread - there are a ton of options to consider there: http://www.el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=10208.15 (http://www.el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=10208.15)

I've tried using a couple different loops, the first one was from the last couple pages of the effects loops chapter in Merlin's preamp book, and the second one was based on the loop in the Solo 50 Rectoverb, schematic here (see page 4): http://www.el34world.com/charts/Schematics/files/boogie/boogie_solo50_rectoverb.pdf (http://www.el34world.com/charts/Schematics/files/boogie/boogie_solo50_rectoverb.pdf)

In parallel mode I had phase problems with them because I was using digital effects (reverb, delay, etc.), but in serial mode I was reasonably satisfied with either one. YMMV. I'd like to try building Tubenit's version of the dumbleator next.

Thanks.  I like Tubinit's schematic....maybe I'll add both the OD and S/R to my Bassman project.
