Title: A surprise this morning (and it's not what you think)
Post by: Geezer on November 07, 2012, 07:08:56 am
I was playing my guitar & tweaking an amp last nite in my shop, and when I put the guitar back into it's hard shell case, I just closed the lid without latching it down. The guitar fits really snug, so there was about a 1/2" gap, not closed.

This morning I was going to do a bit more playing before work, opened the case & there were a little pair of black, beady eyes staring back at me....a field mouse has made himself at home in my case, snuggled into the cleaning cloth I keep in there.

I didn't have the heart to kill him (since he seems to have a musical nature), so I just opened the door and chased him out....he'll probably be back tonite, but I'll make sure to close the case securely this time!

That's pretty funny....I've got a nice Gibson gig bag that has some lining chewed out by one of those buggers.......he left me a couple presents too

Left my Hwy 1 tele un-played in a storage room for several months and decided to take it out to use a little bit and found a carivan of fire ants going in and out. They were going to the inside routed out cavity. I had to take the pick guard off to get them all out. It was quit a job weeding them all out. Guess I got there in time because I could tell of no damage done and the guitar worked fine unless they accomplished an un-known mod;>/
