Title: Korina Koruna
Post by: Tyrannocaster on November 16, 2012, 05:04:46 pm
For immediate release: Korina Koruna

Tyrannocaster and The New Devonian Band

WITH

Special guest artists: The Triceratops Horns and The Android Sisters.

I’m pleased to link to this latest release from Tyrannocaster’s big band, which has extra help on this tune from the horns and background girls. If you remember, last time I went to Scotland but this time I seem to have wandered over to Africa, or maybe New York or even London in the 1960s. Anyway, put on your dancin’ shoes for this one and check it out!

I used my faithful Warmoth Tele, my Interociter amp (cathode biased EL84 Tweed Bassman) and my old Vox Cry Baby on this. It draws from truly unlikely sources, from Erik Satie to Frank Zappa but I think you’d have to credit Hugh Masekela and the early trumpet based tunes of Brit bandleader Ken Colyer, too. I had a lot of fun writing these horn parts and I certainly would like to do more of them.

Hope somebody likes this. I never know, but I do them for me, and I like it.

Cheers!

Very Good. Always been a fan of Phil Kaggey--your playing on this reminds me of him. Platefire
