Hi guy's, Was in the local music shop to pick out the ten guitars and amps that santa is going to give me for Xmas. :l2: :laugh: :l2: Why are you laughing, santa IS real.
It seems that most of the big players are catering for the LITTLE players, but boy are they pricey

There is some cool/strange stuff on this site, anyway a small amp with a single tube. I was thinking that i might be a basis for a neat small build,or even add an extra tube (6au6)to make an OD section. Thats it, just taking a break from my other build. :icon_biggrin:

Ha ha, you seem to have both GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) and CABS (chronic amp building syndrome)! :icon_biggrin:
I too have similar "issues"... I go through cycles - big complex builds then small, simple builds - rinse and repeat... Anyway, just before I did the TOS, I built a simple "Champ In A Bottle" amp using the 6AF11 like the Squirrel Monkey at http://www.solorb.com/elect/musiccirc/squirrelmonkey1/ (http://www.solorb.com/elect/musiccirc/squirrelmonkey1/), then I double it (P-P with 2 AF11s). Both worked fine, good for bedroom practice duties.
Good luck with your ECL85 build, looks like a cool tube, may have to get a few... must resist the urge... :help: :l2:
