I love using hoffman layouts but im thinking of switching to eyelets to reduce cost. Does anyone incorporate eyelets into the hoffman layouts?

Any circuit board can have eyelets placed instead. There are two sizes to accomodate the thickness of the circuit board material bothe using a 1/8" hole. An eyelet will hold five wires easily whereas five wires can make a turret messy. Jim

Doug likes the way a turret board looks comparied to an eyelet board looks.
I've made boards using both turrets and eyelets on the same board. So far I like it. Loose Change has done the same and had a thread on it.
Digikey sells quit a few different size turetts and eyelets. Look up Keystone who makes both and see how many different sizes are stock.

Hoffman Boards are better suited with Turrets because of the Hoffman architecture
However you can use mixed Turret and Eyelets as Loose Change has done
If you want to use eyelet it is sufficient that the terminals of a component does not intersect those of another that he must not connect
If you are on the USA you can get both Turret & Eyelet from Doug

If you are in Europe you can buy it in many places
here as an example you find turret for 2mm or 3mm boards and eyelet for 2mm boards
