Just wondering about Dougs' advertising up there... is there a new vacuum tube ( valve) heart procedure.. if not , why do I have to see it ? It should be moved to "off topic".
-
Did you read Doug's explanation of the advertising here? :

Those ads are tailor made just for you. Aggravating, ain't it! But it's very common on the net. Not many places you can go on the net where you wont see those kind of personalized ads.
You do have limited control over what you see. By deleting your browser temp files/cookies the ads won't know where you've been and you will see random generated ads.
And there is a trick you can do with your "HOSTS" file to totally block those ads. However, there are side effects. Your browser's 'back' button may require extra clicks to back up properly. I find it less aggravating to just let the ads run.
And remember, Doug gets $10 everytime you click on one of those ads.

 Seriously?,,,,,$10??.......or was that "wink" the indication of a high guess-timation?

:think1: What do you think?

OK :undecided:,,,,I was gonna say....
How do you get into the forum hosting buisness?.....
For that money I'd host a Justin Bieber fan club forum,,,and run ad's for Proactiv
-
I *think* rates are closer to 2,000 views per buck.
And you don't need a forum.... a website featuring your amps might turn a buck every year or two.

As the guys said, you are gonna see ads based on where you have browsed on th web
Right now I am seeing an ad for a Solder Pot
Now I am seeing an ad for Canadian maple leafs
-
I'm still waiting for doubleclick discount coupons.

Right now I am seeing an ad for Greenville amp repair
Better take my amps down to Greenville and have them looked at!
This part is a joke cause I am not allowed by google to encourage people to click on the ads, as per the agreement
Here's the joke part Google:
I think if you click on an ad 1000 times you get a free #2 pencil and pocket saver

Man, what did we used to call those pocket protectors? Something nerdy, can't recall. Every technician had at least one. They were typically loaded with a ballpoint and mechanical pencil and a 7-level! Radio/tv guys would also have a phillips and a 1/4" nutdriver. Ah, the good ole cool days!
