I picked this Danelectro 3011 up a few days ago off: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Danelectro-Electric-Guitar-60s-/130853470824?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=KTC3FvEE0OG1QCjjeia8%252FXBaZ78%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Danelectro-Electric-Guitar-60s-/130853470824?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=KTC3FvEE0OG1QCjjeia8%252FXBaZ78%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc)
I cant believe it didnt sell for at least $500+. Alligator case included. Cant wait to restore it. Seller said no dents in frets or wear. I have to see that

Very nice! I dig it! Cool colors!
Get your slide out tune it up to E or down to D and run it through your 5E3 and your old tweed bassman with a stand alone reverb!
Oh, and try your Warbler with it too!

I'm not an expert on dannys or silvers, but here's one that sure looks like your git's little brother?

She arrived today and i am happy. Such a nice and articulate tone. Havent had time to put it through the paces yet. Worked like a dog today on 3 amps. Got them all done but no real play time on the Dano yet. Looks real nice next to the 1959 Deluxe 5E3
Got the black paint off the white knobs. Dropped in boiled water in a coffee cup and used tooth brush and dawn. Much better

is that pickup called the 'lipstick' type? anyone know the history on that type of pickup? don't see them much anywhere except the Teles but I'm not sure if those are still considered 'lipstick' pickups?

The lipstick has power in many ways! I restored the guitar It turned out real sweet. Plays wonderful and feels good. The cream binding was hell to find but i got it from the UK. I dont there is any left else where. Turns out the guitar is 1960.http://triodeamplification.com/Danelectro.html (http://triodeamplification.com/Danelectro.html)
