Steffen & Jane - The Dixieland - (Guitar & Fiddle) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=famYtHftpwE#) and the playing is not bad either :icon_biggrin: Another great youtube guitarist and (hot) talented violinist. His other songs are amazing as well.
Another one in his Freddy Kruger shirt. His drummer Otto(matic) is getting after it too :worthy1: :worthy1: :worthy1: Kinda pisses me off he makes it look so easy. One of the few dudes that mixes soul and shred.

Holy Shizit!!!
This guy is amazing and I have never heard of him
I hear shades of Vai in his playing but he is not a clone by any means
Thanks for turning me on to this guy
I have to go check out his other stuff
This one is pretty slick also

My wife used to look and me and smile like Jane was doing to Stephan. Now she just yells at me to turn it down... :dontknow:
Wow, he is SO good. That is amazing!

I love this type of playing!
The "sweep legato" thing he does just blows me away....I'm going to learn how to do that.
Here's a cool one...listen to the solo starting around 1:35.....beautiful

He is A/B(ing) amps or has the greatest pedal ever? Sounds like he is going from a Fender to the Hiwatt Custom Bulldog - amp combined with one or more pedals: Pete Cornish SS2, G2, P2, boost and T.E.S Delay listed on his GEAR page.

I think he's using a Suhr OD-100SE+

Check out the harmonic technique @ 3:31 in Doug's post "ElectricGuitaristry"
.....it's a fun and easy technique to get a cool effect, and if your not doing it already, it's very easy to learn

Here's another couple vids
Steffen Schackinger - Perfect Waves - Guitar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX61Jlvd-Yw#)
Steffen Schackinger w/ Jane Clark - Time (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GJs6Cj7X2I#)

Love it all,,but really love the Perfect Waves clip.....
I think we've all sat around with a delay pedal and reached for something like that....
It's really a shame that there isn't a national radio station dedicated to talented artists like this.....instead of playing the same 20 computer generated songs over and over,,,they could actually go a month or 2 without repeating a song
Thanks for taking the time to post this stuff......even though we all know where to find it,,,,I'm not sure I ever would have givin this a listen

I'd have to call that a polyphonic piano style run,,,,which is just a prettier way of saying a bad-ass little riff
