Built this still using the Hoffman style D'Mars ODS board. Not as much OD chime and intensity without the 5879, but the OD is much smoother and definitely more friendly to OD pedals up front.
The FX level makes a superb master volume.
CHECK for errors! Any discrepency, go with the schematic which is correct. Note that schematic and layout have additional pages to
reference on each.
I have added a schematic to show the original D'Mars ODS using the 5879 and with FX also
EDIT: 5-7-14 I added a 200k/500p into V1-7. I added a paralleled .033 Mallory to the .022 6PS Orange Drop for the bass tone cap. The Mallory added quite a bit of smoothness to my ears. The 200k was added because I felt like perhaps the second triode was being overdriven somewhat too much.
7-4-14 EDIT: I added a 121p cap to ground on V3-7. The Boss Digital Delay I am using adds some high end hash and so this works quite well to smooth that out. Different effects pedal may not need or benefit from it? The cap does not seem to harm the touch sensitivity or high end smoothness of the amp.
