Title: This song is how babies get made
Post by: Ghetto_Soundwave on April 19, 2013, 12:40:26 pm
New band with old feel, hence the name Vintage Trouble. Listen to this together with your woman at your own peril as on offspring may soon ensue:

Vintage Trouble-Run Outta YOu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj29oFpcfNA#ws)

Here's a few more from the band:

Vintage Trouble - Jezzebella (Bing Lounge) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcDIYB9mN8k#ws)

Al Green anyone?  Vintage Trouble - "Nobody Told Me" (Official Music Video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pDr7cQgTHk#ws)

Vintage Trouble - ' With A Little Help From My Friends ' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HasBOubr0Ys#ws)

Vintage Trouble - Loch Ness Shore (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC8SbnYHmkM#ws)

I am going to see them live in 10 days at a small theater and based on their live videos it should be a good one. On a side note in the Jezebella video the bass player has the same dance motion as the bass player in this video: http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/sports-bar/n13047/ (http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/sports-bar/n13047/)

YOW!!!!    Now that young man can sang!!!!         :happy1:

Bands good enough but the singers got it going on and he knows it! You can see he's deep down in it and feels it.

If they add a good Hammond/Leslie/keyboard player that could put them over the top, add a horn section and their golden.

Thank you for posting that, they just sold a few CD's thanks to you.

Nice take Willabe, I feel the same way about them. They will get stale if they don't move towards a bigger sound.
Hopefully they also branch out into other genres like funk, ska, punk and a heavier rock progressions. Can't miss with their singer Ty Taylor and would be just a matter of are they willing or even care to progress in other directions.  They should seek the guidance of Fishbone. Ah Fishbone, so much talent, so diverse, killer live shows, one of the greatest bands most people have not heard of.

I also discovered this group a few months ago when I saw a tv show call studio in session or something like that.  I was blown away and bought their album, great stuff!

Wow, the singer really pulls it together. :worthy1:
Would like to see him with a black backing group (or another group)..........just to see what would happen.

I grew up listening to a TON of Motown and soul music!

I love this guy's singing!  Reminds me of the great vocalists from the 60's!

He'd fit right in with Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Percy Sledge, Sam and Dave, Joe Tex, Al Green, James Brown, Jerry Butler, 4 tops, Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cook and all those others .................

Yep and I'd bet he's got a lot of those records/CD's and has worked out to them for a number of years learning how to sing in their style. Bet he knows a lot of that stuff note for note just like guitar players know songs note for note.

Does my heart good to hear a younger guy sing with that soul/R&B thing going on. Where feel is more important than how many notes you can end a phrase with.
