Title: Big Box Hollowbody with more than moderate Buzzing
Post by: TerryD on May 12, 2013, 09:18:21 pm
It's an S101 guitar but really not bad.  I redid all the electronics and wiring and I'm getting continuity between my tailpiece and the pots.

What could be wrong??  Thanks

Does it buzz when not plugged in? Or is this pickup-like buzz?

I'm not sure I understand the question.  the only thing I can think is...how can anything buzz not plugged in?

Bad solder joints somewhere?  Or a missed ground connector?  Could be a bad pickup, or a break in the pickup lead's shielding.  That's probably the most likely culprits.  Most of the time when I have guys bring in that kind of stuff, its either a broken shield somewhere, or because they just twisted the wires together and didn't bother to solder anything, but I'll assume you are not that stupid.
