Post by: guyf on June 24, 2013, 01:01:33 pm
i have a GA 15 rvt   it looks like it was totally rebuilt. the caps have all been changed. the amp sounds great and reverb works fine. problem is ,the tremelo makes   a popping sound when its on. any ideas where to look or has anyone had the same problem and resolved it?   my direct email is   strat1953@aol.com

I'm having the same issue with an rvt 17! (Scout) I understand on some amps it can be fixed with a diode across the resistor to ground?

Lead dress can be a cause.  Try adjusting path of wires.  If there is an eyelet board, this can include excess solder between the boards.
