Title: Cap and resister boxes

I saw in the favorite tools topic a while back were you guys had built several of these. Im  just looking for more ideas to go with my breadboard im building I have 2 of these and Im working on some coupling cap and resister boxes. thought this would be a helpful discussion.

In my honest opinion, it is much easier and cheaper to buy them. I have built and bought. If you really want to do it right you need precision resistors which eventually will cost you! However, if you want to build for the experience which is not a bad decision, google resistance decade. There is a cool site where a guy goes through the whole process and its pretty neat. I just don't think it is worth the cash. Good luck!

This thread should be moved to buy/sell.  I have two pairs of these decade boxes sitting around. Many values up to +/- 20%. 600VDC max.  PM me if interested.  Jim

What Im looking for are ones specifically tailered to amp circuits . the 2 I have are for cathode caps and resisters the next two will be for coupling caps and resisters . so I can put them with my breadboard and just dial what I want quickly and easily . I just thought others might have taken this farther than were I was at, and I wanted to see what they were using.

Tone, I have a couple that I bought cheap, and switched out the caps/resistors for more usable values. I think the other guys are right, buying is cheaper than building. I got the box, rotary switch, banana sockets etc. for like $10 each.
