Anybody remember the topic about a forum member building two amps in one big chassis ?
-
Yes, it was either Physconoodler or Loose Change that did so. Don't remember which one though?

Physconoodler did one but Loose Change might have also made one too.
There was a picture of Physconoodler's amp in the media section.

I built two double amps. One was two 2204 50 watts in one head and the other was two high-powered princeton reverbs in one combo.(didn't like that one much) but both were amazing sounding live. The dual princeton was noisy so it didn't record well.
I built an oversized 4-12 for the marshall dual that has two speakers for each output. It was way more detailed and louder than a single 100 watt marshall by quite a bit.You didn't have to get loud to get the tone either, but it did loud quite well.
It was very 3-D in the sound department.I used KT66's on one side and EL34's on the other. One side was usually run cleaner than the other.I loved the sound of that amp and the owner did too.He played a lot of gigs with it.
I don't have any pictures anymore cause my computer crashed a couple of times and i lost most of them :sad2:
