Title: Trem Footswitch Pop
Post by: ajeffcote on October 03, 2013, 12:54:41 pm
I know this has been covered. From what I've read it seems that a resistor in line with the switch will slow the caps discharge and stop the pop. Am I on the right track?

Show us the schematic. There are several different footswitch arrangements.

Oh, yes, I knew I forgot something. It's the Hoffman AB763. Fender 2 button switch, 1/4" jack.

Try this. Disconnect the FS and manually ground out the trem with a jumper at the trem FS jack. Does it still pop?

I apologize for the lack of attention to your reply, Sluckey. I posted this and all hell broke loose around my house and I've been busy picking up the pieces so to speak. I should get it back on the bench in a few days and I will try the jumper. It's not a loud pop, but it is audible and I would like to make it silent, if possible.
Thankls
