Title: Built some ribbon mic's
Post by: TubeGeek on October 13, 2013, 12:18:45 am: I ordered a few ribbon mic kits to build a few weeks ago.

They are supposed to be comparable to a Royer 121. I think these actually sound better!

Super easy to assemble.

Here is a short clip of the ribbon mic through my DIY millennia style mic preamp.

No I didn't corrugate the ribbon on these. I would have if I could have though. The ribbon motor's came pre-assembled.

Ah ok, gotcha. Looking on their website, it looks they either come preassembled, or if you can get just the motor. I don't see a kit that includes everything you'd need for the full mic. Is that something they used to have?
