Title: Hi-Viz pistol sights
Post by: tubenit on October 25, 2013, 08:29:13 am
Anybody install these on their pistol?

http://www.hivizsights.com/products/handgun-sights.html (http://www.hivizsights.com/products/handgun-sights.html)

I'm thinking of buying a front sight for my FNX-9 and getting my son one also for his Sig Sauer P226.  (BTW, I had a chance to shoot his Sig last week, nice handgun)

IF you have tried them, can you offer a review or comment about them?

My eyesight isn't what it used to be and I think it would be useful to me to get a front sight that might be easier to focus on?

Jeff

They (or something quite similar) are on my wife's Glock. She loves 'em.

I can't hit shit regardless, so didn't spend the money on my own.

I forgot till now, I also have the Firesight on the front of my 10/22, plain peep in rear. Huge, huge difference over plain iron sights, especially with my eyesight. Cheers!

Finally got around to getting the Hi-Viz sight on my FNX-9.  It was a good choice for me.  Cost me $26 to get it installed.

I like it!  Sure makes it much easier to see.

Do I think it makes me a "better" shot?  Maybe just slightly more consistent with my groupings.  Still putting an average of 4 out of 5 shots in an area smaller than my palm at around 23-25'.

with respect, Tubenit

No, but I wished I could shoot well enough to do so.  :icon_biggrin:

I've owned and shot guns ever since I was 12 yrs old being a military brat & I still like it.

Here is a grouping with a .38 revolver that I did last wkend. It held 7 shots & I tried to put the following 6 shots in the hole of the first one and group them as tight as I could.   About 24' or 25' away.

I'd love to get back into reloading shells so I make it a little less expensive. Paying $18 for a box of 50 9mm right now.
