Seems to be on the lowest setting it's way fuzzy. It has fuzz tone and volume controlls. Also an octave and mid-cut that I don't use. Any ideas of what I could do? Given I know nothing. Just to jerk around in the realm that I am able to, I have put a 100k resister across the outside tabs of my 100k tone pot. I also put a 38 picofarad cap across the outside tabs of the fuzz pot. It seems smoother which is nice. I only mention what I did so that you might get an idea of just how inept I am. That said, I've altered, to the better, tons of junk getting simple info from books and off this board. Thanks, Terry

do you want it to continue to have a 'fuzz' tone or not? I have an Octaver pedal I built from a General Guitar Gadgets kit. It came with the connection to use either octave or fuzz. I hated the fuzz sound and jumped across that connection to kill it.
do you have a schematic for this pedal? that would be the place to start IMO. without that whatever you tried would have a high probability to make the pedal inoperable.

BTW, on the FSB thread there's apparently a simple mod to a cap or 2 that will yield better results(?), so be sure to read that one

I read thru the thread a bit.....here's the real gist of the mod

Be VERY careful of those jumper/connector harness wires....maybe even make a few notes as to where they all go, because they will break off VERY easily!
When I worked on a Joyo Ultimate Drive, I marked each wire with dots using a sharpie....left to right, one dot on the wire going to the 1st solder pad, two dots on the wire going to the 2nd solder pad, and so on. I in fact DID have some wires break and it was very simple to find where they all came from!

edit: All done. Turning the two caps 180 made this thing not only usably but very likable. Opened up the fuzz so that it's not so compressed and it even sounds smoother..very nice. I swapped the other two caps but didn't like the end result which just seemed to me to give a little more bass and kind of "muffed" it up a bit. I switched it back to keep things open and I still have tones of controll on the tone controll.
Being the lazy slob that I am, I just put the compnents back on the bottom side of the board and put longer covered wires on the caps for ease.
