Title: Switching Problem
Post by: clyde on November 17, 2013, 05:46:37 pm
I have a double pole on-off-on toggle switch, 6 terminals, centre is off, and need to switch in 3 different resistors, trying to keep the largest value on the top throw, middle value in the off position (centre) and the smallest on the down position.  To make things easier the values can be halves of the largest, which will be 1M.  I've been puzzling and drawing for a few days now and can't seem to quite get it nailed down.  The resistors will be switched to ground.  Any takers?  Sorry for this head-scratcher.

Look at the first posted schematic and at the first gain stage cathode.

No way to do that.

What you want is the switch in this top post of this thread:

Thank-you gentlemen.  Yes that switch will do it, very obvious on first perusal.  I can do the switching with mine, but the positions won't be where I'd like them to be.
