Title: 100W LED Flashlight, 10,000 Lumens!
Post by: Ritchie200 on December 06, 2013, 04:58:38 pm
They dont even bother with a reflector!  If you got the jack, they got the toys!  I'd like to see this one.  By the way, my 2200 Lumen LED flashlight crapped out already.  So much for bragging about build quality.

Man, you like giant torches huh?

The sub 1000 Lumen LED torches are way bright enough for all the flashlight needs I have

Most of the time I have to use one of the lower settings for indoors stuff

Even walking on a trail in the dark I reduce the power output a bit because it burns your eyes out looking at a monster bright spot on the ground in front of you

Plus the heat factor on 1000 lumens+
It takes allot of air moving over the flashlight body to keep them cool

Wonder if your burned up from too much heat?
What happened?

Doug,

It did get hot, but it was supposed to be good for continuous use in and out of the water.  When it first started acting up, it would only work on High and SOS mode, then nothing.  I'll bet it was heat.  Already sent it back.  I broke down and bought an Olight SR95.  Wow, I thought the other light was well made.  Olight was always described as the Cadillac of flashlights - now I know why.  It is the same length as the old dive light, but with a bigger head - and it is half the weight - incredible!  Mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating for the head glass.  And the light output, wow....  It is rated at 2000 lumen but I swear it is brighter than the so called 2200 of the dive light.  Maybe its the different reflector design, which is super high polish - the dive light was all orange peel.  It has a really cool open frame around the reflector that they say is the secret to the cooling and long run times.  You need to check out the design, really neat!  Here is a video review that really shows off all the features.

The 100W flashlight is for underwater filming.  It is only rated for 20 seconds run time out of the water before smoking!
