Title: Grounding ? for a AB763 Reverb and Output jacks
Post by: x44d80 on January 06, 2014, 11:28:33 am
Newbie here.  On the AB763 layout, would it cause a ground loop by tying a buss wire from the reverb and output jacks all the way back to the power transformer? I see on the layout that the reverb transformer's black wire ties to the reverb jack. Then I have the rest of the RCA jacks and the output jacks tied together with a buss wire, but then I continued it all the way to the Power Transformer.  Is this wrong? Thanks, Brent.

Welcome x44d80!

I would say yes if the jacks are not insolated/isolated. You only need to wire them to a ground buss wire if the jacks are not grounded to the chassis.

Read this it might help you.
