Build a DSOTM Fuzz. Pretty smooth sounding and has great sustain. I'm getting some nice harmonics with it cranked. Since my amps tend to be figured maple with sapele or mahogany, I decided to go with a figured wood top on this one. Simple some scrap wood from a previous project. I just put a few coats of lacquer on it and used contact cement to hold it in place.
Reasonably easy build, IMO.

Very cool!!
I always love your use of maple, and in this case it adds a lot of class to a "simple" project.....

Where you been hiding? PM me!
As always, your woodwork is without peer - this is cool! Can you do some soundclips?

Sorry SG! I was talking to 'Nit! :laugh:
And I tried to be nice and say wonderful things about your post and it was YOU who ruined it! Not my fault...

:laugh: After being away for a while first thing I see is the boys being boys. Mom's going to grab you both by the ear, lead you to your rooms, and let you have it. :think1: No more TV, iPhones, or guitars for a week! :sad2:
Nice work Tubenit! You inspired an idea for me; if only I could find a way to use a little foam and fiberglass to cover something the same way???

Is that sexwax I see on the bottom of that pedal? Gotta have some grip on the floor!
Soundclips? Hello? Bueller?

:l2: It'd probably work better than crappy velcro any day! (I only use zip ties or screws these days)
Sorry T - off topic for the tropics;
Headin' back the islands in soon. Here's a different meaning of being in the pocket for ya. If she can do it, you can too?! (but watch your toes) ;)

Hey I will freely admit to the abilities and honor those of the fairer sex who do ANY surfing, much less something that big!!! :worthy1: :worthy1: :worthy1: And I'm sure 99.999% of them NEVER get their toes caught in the leash!!! :BangHead: If I was in that pocket, it would be about 5 seconds before I got drilled (my toe is aching just looking at it!). Right now the waves in the bathtub are quite intimidating.....
In regards to your trip, did I mention I hated your guts today? AND you promised pics (you didn't really, I'm just saying that to make you feel guilty), so take many and often! By the way, I picked up an XTC adventure cam made by Midland at Wally World on sale for about $60. It comes with a waterproof case (down to 200ft) and it is 30frames/sec 1280x720 1080p hi def - just like the expensive gopro. Or you can switch it to 60 frames/sec at 640x360. I used it snorkeling down to about 15 feet and not a problem. Pretty slick and it charges via USB or the supplied charger. Comes with a few mounts, but you may want to buy a special suction cup for your board. I used it for about 3 hours straight and still had plenty of juice. It is tiny (about 1x1.5x3) and uses micro sd cards. Pretty darn good deal, plus if you loose it your not out $400+ for a gopro.
Just looked, they are out of stock at walmart.com at $79, but the Midlandoutletstore has a package deal with a boardmount for like $150 - still a good deal. Video was excellent, they must have good glass in the lens, as that was even through the waterproof case glass in saltwater! Maybe check your local wally world to see, you can always buy the mount separate.
