Title: Fast recovery diodes in my Blues Jr. Can I do this?
Post by: TerryD on February 25, 2014, 09:40:46 pm
I've done this before on a 68 Bassman head and liked it quite a bit.  I have some freds left over.  They are DSE112-10A or 1000V 12A to-220AC

My Blues Jr has the "square" rectifier so I'll have to replace them all, diode for diode.  It looks like I'm replacing IN5062 diodes (the print is so small)

I know how to replace them, it's just that I'm not sure I can...will they work? I'll be replacing diode for diode.
Thanks, Terry

ON the bassman you replaced three IN4007 with one FRED.

You can use same diodes you put on your Bassman.

I did not check specs of your diodes.
