Which is your preferred tube amp for Electric Resophonic guitar ?

my son has this one with 1 piezo and 1 covered pick-up

How will it be used?  If it was for blues you could go with a Champ turned up for some grind.  For C&W you might want to stick with an acoustic guitar amp to reproduce the clean shimmer.

My son plays blues but also other

I agree with the champ also if I was thinking to something with a bit more power (may be in the 10W order)

and also a Champ in PSE configuration may be a choice

about acoustic guitar amp I'm not familiar, have you a specific model to suggest ?

Behringer and Crate (believe it or not!) make some really nice ones.  Also Laney (believe it or not!) has a nice one too.  Most have built it graphic EQ's to really tailor the sound.

Jim, having an EQ I suppose those are new style amps, do you think there is a way to see the schematic of one of those kind of amp ?
