Title: Conversion from a GZ34 to diode rectification
Post by: Superchet on May 05, 2014, 06:56:44 am
Does anyone have the diagram(s) for the mod(s) showing where the solid state diodes should be wired under the GZ34 socket replacing the GZ34?
Cheers.

Connect anode of a diode to pin 4 and cathode to pin 8. Connect anode of second diode to pin 6 and cathode to pin 8.

I would like to use the base from a broken octal tube
and solder the diodes in the base, so, if I want, I can take it off and put on a Tube Rectifier
You may also consider to add an in-series resistor for SAG purpose (or to drop a bit the voltage)
