Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum, so I figured I'd post this guitar I've been messing with. It was my very first guitar. Epiphone Stratocaster copy. Lot's of frustration stored up in the wood of this guitar! hehe Was really into punk rock and stickers when I was younger. :BangHead: Before I moved out of my parents house I had started to de-sticker the guitar and return it to a presentable instrument. Life got in the way and I moved out so the body/hardware sat in a box in the garage for years and the neck in a closet. Recently I moved back home and finished putting it back together. Turned out to be a nice guitar that I play everyday. Now I'm just building enough courage up to level/crown the frets.
I had to block the tremolo because after reassembly one of the bridge studs cracked out. This was due to removing too much wood inside the pickup cavity to fit a set of good single coils in a Stratocaster pick guard. Good thing the crack was clean, and I was able to glue it back together. So far so good with the tremolo block, and sounds better too.
Finish is just Danish oil. Wiped on and then a quick buff with steel wool. Just a little protection.
Peace
