Title: noise issue with engl fireball 60
Post by: ctravis595 on July 03, 2014, 03:27:47 pm
client reports lots of noise on first start up, with volume off you can hear some crackling and popping but while playing, this amp kills!

upon inspection i see this amp has had some mods done  :BangHead:

im getting ready to study the schematics to see exactly what is going on with these mods but does this raise an immediate red flag to anyone?

I think your first candidate issue is shown in that picture.

did a bunch of cleaning on the board and also tidy'd up a few weak solder points i noticed. these boards are a pain to work with but if anyone else is having similar issues just give the board a good visual inspection/cleaning
