If there are only 2 idlers (wheels) driving the track and the track is off the ground between the 2, it will turn like a motorcycle.  Not a dependable since you have the wide surface area of the track itself, but will turn by leaning and creating a shorter distance on the inside as opposed to the outside.


The M88 the US military uses can lift 4 of the idlers on each side to assist in mobility.  The Tank is basically only running on 4 wheels at this time, like a car and the track is off the ground between the 4 corner Idlers.  The drive wheel is off the ground and looks like a sprocket.  That is why I am using the term idlers.
