OK,,,,so I'm in my office and this guy brings his DRRI in for me to try and I plug in the LB3 ( http://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=17218.0 (http://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=17218.0) )
He wanted to hear the effect of this combination to provide him with much earlier low volume breakup, and a singing lead tone...
LB3 settings:
Input gain = 4
Tone = 5
Output = 3
Amp settings are all in the middle, except volume is on 2....I'm on the reverb/vib. channel with reverb on 2
Without the LB3, the amp was just setup just clean and "plinky"
I'm also using his Clapton strat with TBX mid-boost control up around 8, on the neck pickup the whole time
Sitting within 2 feet of the amp, with the pickups facing the speaker, and turning a little to accentuate the feedback...
I posted this so that that Ed will have another example of how an amp demo should NOT sound, and to give Jim another dose of some softsoulfunk.
I'm just far enough behind the beat to sound drunk, but there was no alcohol in the vicinity,,,sooo :dontknow:
Just f'in around :icon_biggrin:

No, that is a good demo. Sure there are elements changing the tone, but since I know exactly want the amp sounds like and the Guitar as well, all that is left is the effect. I can tell what it is doing. I don't know why anyone would want to use a Deluxe Reverb, but it works. I guess if that is all you got, then you work with what you have.
Focus on the equipment.
That Deluxe Reverb has a normal channel to use to make Mark Huss' 6v6 plexi. I did one and it was killer with the A/B box. Just an idea. One of those while you are at it things.

Cool....I just realized that the only demo that was up for the LB3 was that other abomination ....this is a more realistic glimpse of an application

Surely you jest?

Not this one....guy just bought it and carries it around in a case..
Besides,, it's got one of those god-forsaken pc boards in it....blehhh
I won't even open it up.
I think the cool thing about the LB3 is the idea that you just add this in front of your existing amp, and it will broaden your horizons....
I guess an OD pedal would get you part of the way there,,,but this adds "dimension"

Hey SG, that LB3 box does sound pretty awesome. Thick and rich as molasses. May have to put one of these together.
And nice work (for just F'in around...I would hate to see you get serious!). :icon_biggrin: Regards

Your LB3 sounds great, and I still would like one mounted in the dash of my truck so I can jam in remote locations. :)
Sounds awesome SILVERGUN! you rock my friend!

Hey ,THANKS! guys...

I do think that there is 'something' to this little guy, and I would love to see anyone else give it a go..
I have found that it is more natural for me to just press record, and not think about it too much,,,so that's why I named it F'in around, cause it was just improvised, and came out sounding a little drunk......I'm embarrassed by the limitations of my playing (for how long I've been playing),,,so it's easier for me to just post stuff with a sense of humor, instead of looking for critical acclaim.... :icon_biggrin:
But, thanks for the kind words,,,I thought I might have lost my audience :wink:

That's hysterical,,,but not too far fetched..
Just get a power inverter, and a custom 1x12 cab under/behind your seat....."Mobile Tone Inc"....I like that :icon_biggrin:
It's an OK stand alone amp, but sounds best when it's pushing something else,, like in the clip
