This amp was build by my friend Hey Jude with some my idea (and your help  )
The two input triodes have each one their Tone Control (different from each other)
the idea of two different tone controls was found on the web

---
There is a single input jack and is possible to switch between a channel to the other acting on a footswitch
(my friend didn't implemented the option to have both input joined, only swapped)
One other mod to the 5E3 standard circuit was to add a parallel FXLoop circuit (from Engl Fireball) that can be bypassed via footswitch
He preferred to use a trimmer in front of the FXLoop and didn't use it also as overdrive
PAY ATTENTION THE ELECTROLYTIC CAP ON THE CATODE OF V3a IS CONNECTED BACKWARD

Also the cabinet of the amp and speaker were build by my friend, but in this part of the project I have not contributed

Me too K,
It reminds me of what I've got on the breadboard right now....
I basically took the 5E3's preamp and added T's effects loop and it sounds great to me
I've just been sitting around playing through it for the last couple nights trying to figure out where to go next....?
I also like the look of the blue and black tolex mix.
You are a good friend!

K what would you say the difference is between the 2 channels with the different tone caps. sound wise . I like the blue and black also.

My fried recorded some samples of the amp (they are as they are, but you can have an idea about the amp)

I would love to hear the recordings, but I don't want to download the RAR file unzipping program. It seems every time we download a program off the web, a lot of unwanted software gets loaded on our computer.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Download Winrar from rarsoft, and just keep an eye on the install for those already checked boxes. It will install a demo copy without any garbage.

WinZip can open *.rar files too. Just in case you already have it.

I'm sorry
I just realized that the electrolytic capacitor on V3a, on the previous schematic, is connected in a wrong way (- to catode of V3a)
here a revised version of the schematic

Sorry
