Title: Raytheon 2050A/2050
Post by: lego4040 on September 04, 2014, 09:51:48 am
So One of my Elevator Mechanics stopped by today and gave me 8 Raytheon 2050A/2050's :icon_biggrin: The only thing I can find on these is that they were used in jukebox's. I dont know squat about these tubes, are they worth keeping and building something with them? I cant test them either but the boxs are in excellent condition and the tubes are as well. Any info welcome. Not sure how to date these either

It's a thyratron switch tube. No use in audio applications. The SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) is the solid state counterpart.

Put them on eBay. Elevators don't use them no more, but people still restore jukeboxes, and the thyratrons are a regular problem.
