Been a while since I did a recording project
Here's a Los Straightjackets tune called Espionage
It's a pretty clean recording with my Stereo Tube pre amp and my Re-Vibe
Got some decent drum sounds on this also, I think
Mix #2 with some improved bass and guitar tones

LOL, glad you liked it
I love spy tunes!

Spy music is cool.
And the greatest spy of all time, to bad they didn't give him a theme song.

I really enjoy this stuff Doug!
The precision that you have for each note is inspiring....sounds like you're really 'locked in'
I agree that the drum sounds are nice quality and the mix is perfect!
Keep having fun.

Thanks, I do enjoy this kind of stuff

Doug,
This is so cool! Amazing effort as usual. Bond theme coming soon?
Thanks a lot pal! Makes it hard for me to post my garbage.... :icon_biggrin:

Thanks, appreciate it
I forgot all about the Bond theme

Sounds good! Makes me want to listen to my Duane Eddy record.
Peace

Thanks Aaron

Ha!!! Man, I love this! What guitar did you use? I'm seeing a semi-hollow archtop in my head with TV Jones-esque pickups and a Bigsy. =)

Thanks, I am using my Ibanez JS2400
Sorry to disappoint
:icon_biggrin:
-
Great job on the tune, I really enjoyed that.
-
Thanks, that's a fun tune to play
-
Sorry to disappoint
No disappointment at all - except now I wish I could make an Ibanez JS2400 sound like that. ;)
-
I click a switch and turn each HB into a single coil
The JS2400 has lower gain HB's like vintage PAF's, so 1/2 a HB coil sounds pretty good
Ibanez makes some really nice and very precise guitars and from good materials
I sold all my Strats except one after getting a couple Ibanez Satriani Guitars :icon_biggrin:
There seems to be an attitude these days that if you are not playing a vintage guitar, then you are written off
I don't buy any of that crap. :icon_biggrin:
-
I totally agree about the crap buying. I've never had an Ibanez... but then again, I've never had a vintage guitar, either. I definitely like the sounds on this recording for certain.

Thanks
I did another mix with more bass and a better guitar tone
check this one out if you get time

I'm crazy about Mix#2! I grabbed the mp3 to stick on my phone so I can listen in the car. I still play "The Factory" all the time. Sorry about just now hearing this, btw.

Thanks
I love playing this tune
