 Capacitors in parallel?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When capacitors are wired in parallel does the voltage handling capability sum as well as the capacitance? Or does the capacitace devide?

When caps are paralleled, capacitance is summed and voltage rating stays the same (use the lower of the two if they're different).

When caps are in series, capacitance is divided (according to the same formula as for resistors in parallel), but the voltage ratings are summed.
