Title: JTM45/800 Stereo Amp Layout
Post by: Mike_J on September 24, 2014, 11:36:02 am
The layout below was inspired by Sluckey's Plexi/800 layout and schematic.  Not sure it is 100% correct.  I would appreciate any corrections.

Thanks
Mike

I can make out that you plan to connect both your OT's to your  reservoir cap which I have done before.  As far as what you are doing it should work fine and I can see you plan.

Looks good, but wait for confirmation from a couple others.  Marshall amps are usually pushed harder and I don't know if this changes this.  I would hate to see any fry a couple OT.

Mike is trying to insure his combined CT of his OT's are ok to connect at the same cap.  In the Hammond tone cabinets it was done exactly this way and I have one running this way from the late 50's.  The difference is one OT is for Bass and the Other is Treble.

Your layout seems logical Marshall.

Ed

Thank you for your response.  Hopefully someday I will get proficient at Visio or another comparable software and my layouts will be much easier to read.

Thanks
Mike
