Till now I was thinking that the 6ak5 tube was used in AF circuits only by some DIYer pioneer
the tube is indicated to be used in low noise RF amplification at VHF
I was always thinking that this small tube worth some interest and now I discovered it was used by some brands in the construction of Tube Mic

don't you think that this tube should be experimented more intensely in AF circuits ?

6AK5 is the earliest in a LOOONG line of VHF amplifiers. It is a fine tube. Some of the later ones are better in some way (or they wouldn't be made).
So many tubes. So little time.

I believe Geezer and Tubenit were experimenting with the 5654 back in the days when they first started exploring pentode circuits. IIRC they had favorable results.

Geezer and Tubenit tried the tube but as far as I can Know they abandoned kit in favour of the 5879 tube

was thinking a 3-tube amp. push-pull with paraphase made of 6AK9 triodes and maybe a submini driver.

And also for the 6AG9 the price is tempting
