Title: pilot light
Post by: Toxophilite on November 07, 2014, 01:58:20 am
I've seen some amps where the pilot light is run off the preamp heaters.
Is that a potential noise problem ?
Or is it okay as long as you route the wires away from the preamp ?

I keep them away from the preamp, yes. Down near the PT.

If it's a typical amp where it gets it's voltage from the heaters where all of the tubes are ran together then it doesn't matter where it's connected. It's as if they're all connected at the same place without any wire, electrically speaking.
