Title: Small Marshall head cabinets - 2204s and the like
Post by: timbraun on November 21, 2014, 03:59:20 pm
Hi! I'm considering putting my JMP Mk II head into a smaller cabinet to match up with my little Marshall 1965a (4x10) cabinets. Does anybody have the actual dimensions for the 2204s model chassis and cabinet? I know the 2204s was built to match the 1965a/b - 24" wide. What I don't know is whether the chassis for those narrower cabs were different from the JMP Mk II (aka JTM 50) chassis.

I found the MojoTone "British Style Extra Small Box Guitar Amplifier Head Cabinet" is (H) 9" x (W) 24" x (D) 8-1/4", with a chassis cut-out of 16-3/8".

I think my JMP-50 Mk II will fit in that... (talking to myself)

LOL

I do have a lingering question about the actual size of the 2204s head cabinet. Is it the same size as the Mk II "extra small" cab? What is it's dimensions?
