Title: Anyone build The Stout reverb ? Ive got transformers that would work.

Id like to build it.How does it sound.I play mostly jazz ,funk and classic rock.

I have built it.  Sounds real good. I need tweak the tone control though. After I was through with the build, I was happy for what I learned along the way.

Regarding sound: I play similar styles. It has a real nice natural overdrive.  Mine is always in hot mode no relay.  I added some negative feedback on a switch to gain her back a bit for cleaner playing.   I also added capacitance where the reverb returns for a deeper darker reverb.  I have it in a closed back combo cabinet with a Celestion A type speaker.   Doug is great to let us build his stuff.  I would never dissuade you from trying it. You should wire up a stout sans reverb, and see if you dig the voicing/gain structure of the amp!
