Again?? Again??

The 720 and 820 are identical circuits. Any difference must be speakers or covering.

at least the chassis is still made - BOM states "Bud CU3006A or equiv."

Seems large. (Note the power supply was separate.) And 6AQ5 at those conditions will output 2 or 3 Watts--- a lot for guitar-cord. And like why the Herzog was invented, sustained overdrive without a load will zap the OT.

i gathered that. respectfully, i was asking if weather or not you thought it would make an interesting overdrive effect. and yes, we'd need a similar arrangement to the herzog to tame output to plug into amp.
