Title: 5e9a speed pot
Post by: Bugman3183 on January 20, 2015, 07:06:00 am
Good morning all.  I'm currently in the process of finding parts to build a 5e9a tremolux and can't seem to find a 2 meg "speed" pot.  I'm also not sure if it is an audio taper or linear pot (I'm thinking the latter).  I was also wondering if I could us  a depth pot with a switch as an alternative, or if I could just a seperate spdt on the front panel for the on/off switch.  Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

The 3M reverse audio taper pot that Hoffman sells will work just fine for the speed pot. You can use a depth pot with a push/pull switch or you can use a toggle switch. Either is fine.

Thanks for the reply sluckey.  That's good news, I actually have one of those pots on hand I got from Doug a while ago, so that's pretty convenient.  I really appreciate the advice.

I stock a 2m linear pot, is that what you want?

Actually, they are out of stock right and should be here in a week or so

Yes, that's what I was looking for.  Noticed they a been out of stock for a while.  I'll keep an eye on that and place an order when they come in since it won't be long from now.  Thanks.
