I have a gutted 1966 Ampeg RR GS 12 r.It uses solid state rectification with 2 6V6 output tubes. When it worked i measured 365 plate volts on he 6v6s.The O.T fed a12 speaker.IM assumimg i could use this Iron for the deluxe reverb build to save money.ANY opinions.Im an electronics Tech for the FAA and i know my way around guiAR AMPS.tHANKS

I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as there is room for the turret board in the chassis, and it looks like there is. I've read a few guys saying that the DR circuit loses some of its mojo with SS rectification. I looked at pics of the reverb rocket 2 and its strange Ampeg would call and amp Reverbrocket and it doesn't have reverb, but has an echo unit? whatever that is. Did yours have all octal tubes?
