Title: is it wrong to ground this speaker jab tab?
Post by: frank57 on February 09, 2015, 12:39:41 pm
Am I just grounding the OT secondary somehow?
The tab is definitely picking up noise
but is it right or wrong
to just ground that tab?

If you ground that tab then you will have no sound in your speaker unless you plug your speaker into that jack.

I seem to still get some sound. The master volume is still active. The amp is quieter but not silent.

Well then the switch is not making good contact.
